Light user (carried very briefly, not used beyond a few envelope openings), very rarely seen for sale Emerson Zealot, (pre) Signature Series (more on that later). These don't come up often, as only 60 were made IIRC, which is really too bad; it is a fantastic design.
The first and only Emerson folder with a blade choil, this sleek, easy to carry model is one of the most useful and versatile offerings Ernie has drawn up to date. Hands down best "waver" I've experienced (veteran of 40+ Emerson folders). Unlike production models with dual detent, this has a single detent (read: smooth). Secure lockup, perfect centering, very good F&F, no issues whatsoever. Brand new pocketclip (from EKI last week) has never been put to use (I had removed the original and it was sold off on another actual user. It looks kind of funky in the pic's, but not so in real life (iPhone flash)
I've installed a Bronze Pete Gray Monster Thumbdisc and it is a perfect upgrade, giving a thumb perch in choke-up grip, making the deployment much more solid and repeatable, and the color is a nice match to the blade markings. Speaking of blade markings, this series of limited, only available direct from Emerson designs (the Zealot being the first of which) was later named "Signature Series" and each knife was hand engraved by Mr. Emerson with his signature and the year. This one pre-dates that signature engraving, but is available upon request should the owner wish to send it in to Emerson. FWIW, this is the only "Signature" version to not be signed (the signatures were added during the second special OD run of the second "Signature" model, the Tiger), and so I thought it was more unique sans the engraving.
Includes an Emerson box, but in photographing this yesterday I discovered that it is for the SF version I sold off a while back, which must mean that buyer received his SF Zealot in this one's BT Zealot box - yeah, I know, not ideal for collectors (this knife deserves to be used, thus this sale).
SOLD (friends & family "gift" or add $8 for "Goods & Services" fees). I'll cover the USPS Priority (with tracking number) postage.
Now the pics (taken yesterday):
