Rare, expensive Buck knife

Buck 535 series, one +. Best guess at value range? I have hardly any idea. Any recent prices observed or paid would be helpful. This series was withdrawn shortly after public distribution began because some of the patterns were defective. I actually gave another one to my brother-in-law knowing only that some day it would be fairly valuable. It did not work as well as the one I kept because the locked blade was sometimes hard to unlock. It was a large, single blade lockback with similar detail. How valuable is my double lock muskrat with its filework, etc.? Any help would be greatly appreciated and possibly rewarded with the opportunity to purchase if the notion to sell strikes me at just the right moment. It works well, so I wonder if I kept the wrong one. I would never ask my brother-in-law to return his or trade for another without telling him what it is worth, and I"m sure he,too, would like to know a sound estimate of its monetary value.
