He does indeed build "first rate"! I'm particularly impressed by the fact the piece is SOLE AUTHORSHIP! Even the incredible damascus is made by John. His bluing technigue that produces the entire rainbow of colors in the steel is beautiful and quite unique and his fit and finish is as good as it gets. He is indeed arguably one of the very best. :eek: :eek: :eek:
 
To whomever got this knife, it is featured in the 2005 Knives digest, thought you might want to know, and get a copy. :)
