FOR SALE- Rare/Hard to find East German NVA Canvas Tarp Poncho Shelter Halves. One is brand new/unused and the other is used and has been repaired. These are selling for $75.00 a piece plus shipping on Ebay right now
They've been packed away inside a sealed bin for over 5 years. I originally bought four of them from Varusteleka Finnish Surplus. They've become quite rare since I bought them apparently, which is a shame, because they are just awesome bushcraft tarps that convert to a poncho, tent or bivy. When I first bought them, I tested one outside in a driving rainstorm for a half an hour and water just beaded up on the treated canvas and rolled off the tarp. Really cool. As mentioned, I have 4 of them -- I am keeping two and selling two. I use my other ones mainly as a breathable bivys that can safely be laid next to a fire or as a poncho/cape over a wool blanket worn as a poncho. They are the best I've found for these purposes, especially with how water resistant they are compared to the Russian Plash and Polish Lavvu.
1) NVA Tarp #1- is used and has some small repairs in it. Overall the tarp is in very good shape and ready for field use. $45.00 plus $10.00 shipping to the lower 48
