One of these two knives is available. Upon the sale of the first knife, the second knife is withdrawn.

Up for grabs is a Busse Natural Outlaw Ergo with desert tan finish, quilted scales, and polished spine. One is the standard straight edge, the other is a recurve. Having also had a standard Natural Outlaw in the past, I can tell you that these knives are lighter, quicker in hand, and better balanced than the standard version.

The straight edge has obviously been used. It has a long history with me and I am reluctant to sell it, but offer it because many people prefer a straight edge to a recurve, though I am not sure why from a function perspective. The discoloration you see on the coating is just that--discoloration due to use. It is not rust nor is it the beginning of rust. I want to be clear on that. This knife is 1 of only 14 ever made by Busse, and only a few of those had the quilted scales (the others had "raptor" scales). It is .25" of INFI.

The recurve is unused, uncarried, and basically in mint condition. It is 1 of only 7 ever made by Busse, and again, only a few had the quilted scales. It is alos .25" of INFI.

I am offering either knife for $599 shipped to a CONUS address. I will ship internationally, but shipping will be a little bit more than that amount I have factored in to the CONUS price.

I am not interested in trades at this time. The first "I will take the ______" here in this thread will get the knife.

If I may interject:

I have owned three of these knives at once (the top knife.) Each of these three were unique. Two with raptor scales, one with quilted. On two of them, the spines of the blade were satin, but the clips were of distinctively different lengths. On the other, the satin edge went all of the way around the full tang and the talon. I now have only two, plus one of the recurves and one triple grind (I think there were five of these made). None of them have a clip of exactly the same length.

When you buy one of these knives, you are essentially buying one of a kind, although 14 of this pattern and color were made. These are not cookie-cutter knives.

Thank you for that info, Mike! I appreciate it.

The top one first got used during a passaround on the Busse sub-forum that I started a few years back (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/s...GO!!!-1-of-14-Natural-Outlaw-Passaroundaganza!!!!!) and (http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/477107-SFNO-passaround-feeler).

Here is a review from one of the gents who had the knife for a bit:
