I will most likely regret this for the rest of my life, but I am putting my GEC 252208 Tidioute Banana Peel Jig Bone Barlow set up for sale.
I could also possibly come to my senses tomorrow and pull the sale, so you may want to act quickly...
Great Eastern Cutlery 252208 Tidioute Banana Peel Jigged Bone Barlow set s/n 02, one of only 3 possible "complete" sets, as there were only 3 of the Rodgers Jig knives made.
I do not know the status of set s/n 01, but I do recall seeing set s/n 03 on the 'bay a while back, and it did not contain the Rodgers Jig knife.
Needless to say, this set is extremely rare. I take immense pride in possessing it, and I am very reluctant to let it go.
The knives are all Threaded Barlows with a Tidioute Etched Spear main with a nail nick pull and Clip secondary with a nail nick pull, Nickel Silver bolsters and brass pins/liners. There is a relief cut for access to the secondary pulls on all the knives. Walk and talk on all 5 knives is excellent.
The set consists of the following;
Banana Peel Jig Bone s/n 02 of 11 pcs.
Banana Peel Sheffield Jig Bone s/n 02 of 10 pcs.
Banana Peel Rodgers Jig Bone s/n 02 of 3 pcs.
Banana Peel Herringbone Jig Bone s/n 02 of 4 pcs.
Banana Peel Single Wave Jig Bone s/n 02 of 7 pcs.
As you can see, there were very few of any of the patterns made.
They are in excellent condition, unused, uncarried, and have the factory edge on both blades.
Complete with tubes and wax paper wraps (some are a little worn) but no cards.
My asking price is $1500.00 for the set, inclusive*
I am NOT interested in trades at this time and the price is firm.
Payment via PayPal G&S or USPS MO only please. US sales only.
*My pricing includes PayPal fees and USPS Priority Insured shipping with signature confirmation.
Don't miss this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, this set is practically "unobtainium" for GEC 25 pattern collectors.
And I can't say how long it will last...
Thanks for looking!
