I have a tan/tan SAR that was lucky enough to get from Dunner. There were only 8 of them made I believe. They were sold by Dunner, River8 and 360joules at the Washington State SAR Conference in 2005. It's a pudgy little rat. I borrowed this pic from the Swamp.

I dig the SAR, probably to thick to be useful but a stunning blade nonetheless. I never been able to get one. They also had a couple of variants at one of the Ganzas

Got it direct in a Ganza, if I remember correctly I was gunning for a SAR and put this in as a second option. Well, I have no SAR.

Love my INFIcoot as well. Been used quite a bit. Banged up but well cared for. They aren't the rarest, but you're not going to see Rats made 'o INFI everyday. Unless someone at the shop really F's up.

And don't get to attached to those RTs Gravel

Here are a few rare one's
First is the Black handled Satin Battle Rat, as far as I know there are only 3 left in existence. Mine was a prototype and I still have it (pictured below) Skunk bought 2 and he later sold 1. No idea if he still has the other.

Next is a Bandicoot with an extremely long penetrator tip on it, I had 2 of these at one point, both factory (I've since sold both of them and I don't know who has them now)

Next was a factory piece but there weren't many made and they don't ever come up for sale, it is the Dog Skinner, D2 with Micarta handles

Here are a couple of more rare one's.

The first is my Rat Trap Prototype, notice the larger choil (it was changed to a small choil on the production model) and the engraved clip. ( I still own this one)

The pink Rat Trap owned by someone at the shop

And my Rat Tail that was a gift to me from Wally Hayes with a Rayskin underlay. 1 of 2 (Jennifer has the other one)

bully, 360 or anyone know if OTEs DC Gen1s are the real deal or not. I think they may be non-factory mods. I've never seen a DC tan. Prepare for battle

AFAIK, there is only one DCBB Gen1 HR that is possibly factory and that one used to belong to Skunk, then me, then it sold to someone in Germany. It is the one pictured in "Area 51" at swampshack.com . There is a lot of mystery surrounding that one, as to whether it is factory or not. Since I don't know for sure, I'll just let the mystery remain.

I have no idea if OTE's HR is the same one that I mention above, or if another(?) DCBB left the factory afterwards, but I do know that for a time, a few people had mentioned stripping and beadblasting their HR1's to get the sweet bead blasted look. Regardless of origin, the BB HR is a sweet blade.

Hopefully the Hog that picked up that 1 of a kind Dogskinner will post some new photos By the way--I always thought a black Leatherman sheath with some sort of black and white snakeskin insert would look pretty sharp for that blade--you know who you are

That's a well used Desert Jack, BW. Don't see too many like that. The war wounds give it a LOT of character. And whoever has that DS, get leatherman or Kenny Rowe to put some sweet Boa skin inlays in a black sheath and it will be the real deal. Thanks for the pics. Keep em coming guys.

Kind of funny-same guy that bought the Dog Skinner scored the Desert Jack off me...and the Olive Ratweiler as well. Holy cow he sure made out--sounds like a real Oinker huh?

I keep waiting for some pictures in showing 'em in their new environment to show up here...

Those Rat Traps look mighty appealing, mine is my most used Rat, its on me basically every day. Sometimes it fights for pocket time with my mili or my assault shaker. On the odd day it even loses.


Below the DS with the double color handle, similar to the ones already shown with the horn handle. Albeit this one is a user and probably one of the most user friendly ones, the thin blade makes it a great slicer and hunter.

Then the other user and again quite rare, the Gen1 Howler in tan; got it from 360Joules a while ago with one of his signature sheaths. The DS just joins in for the fun.

Both are among my fav blades ever, great users and designs that can't really be improved. The original howler set the benchmark and I don't think that the successive generations reached this benchmark, they were good, very good but not good enough to beat the first one.

I believe that's one of only two Rats ever produced with Snakeskin slabs. Is that correct, 360?
