This Bowie was made from a very old Rasp from the Wm Stockhoff company of Louisville,Ky..They have been in business since 1863. This bowie has a bit of Sori since it was water quenched.. The blade is about 7 1/4" long, the knife is 12" long overall and about 1 5/8" wide..Much of the rasp texture was left on..The handles are desert ironwood with two mosaic pins and stainless lanyard hole..The rasp teeth were left under the handles for looks but the teeth gaps were all filled with a black colored apoxy..Like filling in filework..
The stand is curly maple, stained with aqua fortis and finished with boiled linseed oil..The antler stand is whitetail and came from here in eastern,Ky..The part of the rasp stamped "Wm Stockhoff" was preserved and attached to the stand..
We are asking $210 shipped priority with conformation..The paypal address is phllpwest@bellsouth.net
Any questions feel free to ask..Thanks and merry christmas!
