Rat-1 Folder

good knife, you forgot to metion that the blade coating is not a special gunkote or tini, its paint. yup just paint, i would prefer satin finished blade, but does anybody know how the paint holds up?

Mine came in the mail today....I'm very pleased. Very good hunk of knife for the price......and as sharp as I need.....Knifenut may disagree, so I'll let him have his way with it;)

Not very well under a Scotch Brite wheel on my Dremel....I was gonna wait til this week-end to do this, but figured as long as we're on the subject.......
This is about 10 seconds work so far....the logos will be gone but I can live with that....

Hmm, I bought the satin blade for exactly that reason. Still got the logo on it.

I've owned this knife for a while now, and love it. Great quality for the price!

Great review man! I recently lost my rat 1 as well. I absolutely love this knife. There is no better blade at this price point that works so hard for you. Can you link us to the site?

Thanks for the review! I've been looking at the RAT-1 for a long time but never got around to buying one. You've given me much-needed motivation!

I'm assuming you mean the link to where I got mine? If so... http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=694281 . He treated me absolutely right, talked to him on the phone and he is a great guy. I believe I'm going to take mine apart and remove the paint as well. The knife has held up well, still one of my faves. Just a note, I bought a little six dollar driver from knifekits.com that has all the torx head sizes (I think 6 in all) you need for most knives, very cheap....

They cost about the same at Home Depot, where I got mine.
