Rat 1 vs. Resilience: Value Moderate/Hard-Use Folder

Well....... This escalated quickly.

Yeah, mine didn't have any recurve what so ever. Also I'm not super into g10, I actually think I prefer frn now. Anyway... I'm now considering just using the refund money for a benchmade. But that just brings me to another difficult decision. I really like the 940 (I like the blade shape, steel, and ergonomics) but I've looked at the 710, and contego for their size and heft. If I go with a benchmade I'm just looking for a good edc than can handle a lot, nit necessarily what I was looking for in the rat 1. (which I may still go with).

How does the contego ride in a pocket? I don't lie super thick knives (I thought about the adamas, but it is like a brick in your pocket (also I don't like too wide a handle, the rift felt too wide, and I didn't lie the ergonomics)). Also, I read a lot of people saying the g10 was too rough. Have you experienced that?
 
If you dont like the rift you might not like the 810. the 810 is thicker and longer and a tiny bit wider but to me I cant even tell its in my pocket it's so smooth and I love the blade shape and the thickness of the m-4 makes this knife super hard duty. The jimping dosn't bother me at all.
 
I had a Rat-1 and a Tenacious. Now I have 6 Rat-1's and 0 Tenaciouses, Tenacious's, Tenacious', Tenaci, whatever the word is.

I'd go with the Rat-1 over almost any sub-$75 folder, especially the Chinese Spydies.
