Rat 2 blade coating

Has anyone removed the black painted coating from their blades? Mine is getting pretty chewed up and I was thinking of trying to strip it off and see what it looks like underneath. Any suggestions for removing the coating? Or better yet, pictures of the finish underneath? Thanks

If you strip the coating off of the RAT 2 folding blade you will find a course stone washed finish (with some grind lines). The black coating is Teflon and will abrade off easily. Then you can use the blade as is or finish to your preference.
Just be careful not to cut yourself.....

Awesome, thank you for the response. I started chipping away at some of the coating while I was waiting on parts at work. It's actually a really nice looking stone wash. Wish I had asked this awhile ago .
