There's no such thing as a collectible knife.
That was actually a fake prop knife used by a federal agency I cannot name here to entrap knife collectors that also trafficed in pornography and cocaine out of Colombia many years ago. It didn't work very well because the collectors recognized the knife as a fake and instead got the federal agents to take part in some filmed pornography parts (while high on coke) involving animals and used that to get the feds to back off. Can't trust those knife collectors.![]()
Hello everyone.
I received this knife in a trade.
It is in nearly perfect shape. Slight patina on the blade.
Email from Mike Perrin says:
"It sounds like a production proto type someone got at a show or something
years ago when Jeff and I were still with Ontario. I think I may have had
a tool at one or two of the shows writing our names on knives. Likely
around 2002-3 or so I would think."
So I ask you all, is this something that someone would want to keep in a collection, or should I use it?
I don't have shelf queens, my stuff gets used.
I like the size, and the bare blade. I may EDC it if it's not too "special"
Also, anyone know what steel it may be? or any other details?
Thanks in advance.
