Rat 7 is it American Made?

Hey everyone. Can any of you tell me if the Rat-7 by Ontario is American made?

Mine's marked "USA" -- and not marked with another country of origin, so I'd say USA.

Very good of you to ask that question (in my opinion), Nightfall. It isn;t that things made foreign are necessarily bad, but more that there isn;t enough attention to "buying American" these days (at least, from those of us in the U.S.).

Yep, the RAT line is made in USA. I could be wrong, but I think Ontario does have a line that they sub-out to overseas manufacturers. I've seen them in an Ontario catalog, I think.

Yep, that is the idea that I am following on this one. Trying to support our ecomony. Also the choice is between the Rat-7 or the Rat-5. I'm leaning towards the Rat-5 right now.

I've gotta say my fellow americans I mostly buy american made knives (Ontario,TOPS,Ka-Bar,Kershaw,Fehrman,Busse ect..) 'cause their simply the best...

We appreciate anyone who buys American Made knives, whether it's one of our knives or not. There are a lot of good companies out there producing Americna Made stuff that is excellent. Kabar, SwampRat, TOPS, etc. make good stuff and have good customer service. The only reason we are discontinuing the RAT Model 1 folder is because it's made in Taiwan. All the rest of our knives are made 100% in the USA.
