RAT-7 or BK&T CU7 for next knife buy

Why hack a live Willow tree?

Good question mate - but it's not a live willow tree. :)

It's the stump of a gnarly old peppermint tree in the bush block next to my house. I just wacked the knife in there to take a photo of it for another thread a few weeks ago. Cutting back the peppermint trees is an annual job here - they grow pretty rampant of you don't. The branches and leaves in the background are from other, live, trees.

It's interesting to note on this thread that all those who have owned both, prefer the RAT over the BK7. But it's fair to say that you can't really go wrong with either.

Well that came in the back of mý mind after reading some BL threat’s. The small differences that I know now is that the BK7 is a better slicer and the RAT7 a better chopper.

Maybe it will come down to the handle or even the sheet...although Im still Dutch so money does also count;)

I didn't find the becker to be a better slicer. In fact the RAT worked better in the kitchen. If you find the edge too thick, just reprofile it.
