I know there are several sheath makers on this site but can somebody make a single sheath to hold both my RAT7 & RAT3 ...every trip I take to the great outdoors ;I pack and carry both blades ;I would like to get and single sheath to house both with a firesteel loop(scout model)...kydex or leather.

I'd be willing to bet that Eric at OnScene could make you one. His name on here is Normark. He's the guy I'm getting my RAT7 and RD7 sheaths from.

We've had several people ask us about "piggyback" sheaths and I doubt we will ever make one since the two knives together do weight a bit. One thing we are looking into is an ankle / leg holster for the RC-3. We have some Secret Service agents in south Florida carrying them that way in a modified sheath around their ankle. I realize it's not for everyone but for some folks it may be the ticket as a lat ditch blade when you're down.

thanks Jeff that is a great idea as well, because I EDC a RAT3 and a LM wave on my job and removing the RAT from my belt and ankle carry maybe a idea... still like a piggy back sheath for the RAT line.TTD

What about a coupler that works through the lashing holes in the sheaths, so you could attach them piggyback style or just remove the coupler to wear them separately, rather than a dedicated piggyback shaeth?

I prefer an integral dual sheath as well, just throwing out the other as an option.

I had another thought.

I see the point. IF you are carrying them conventionally on a regular belt I'm sure it would be an issue. But it seems that the new sheaths are distinctly more "tactical" and less traditional as in they seem to be designed primarily to interface with military gear.
I carry most of my belt gear on a pistol belt (usually without suspenders). For instance my 20" HI Ang Khola which weighs in at just over 3 pounds is intolerable on a regular belt, but is fine on a pistol belt. So since the new sheaths seem to be marketed towards guys who head out with military gear, I would think the weight would be less of an issue for someone wearing their knives on a pistol belt or strapped to their ruck.
