I just talked to the shop and they are finishing up some Rat Daddy's (both LE's and CG's) and will be sending them out soon. Watch these forums as I'll post the info here first. They will then go on sale at the Company Store at www.ratknives.com

Hope to have them later this week or early next week.

IIRC, they were 248 for the combat grade. Don't know about the Le's though.

For $50 more, the LE is a great buy. One of the best finishes I've seen from their shop :D
 
Y'all better grab these knives, you simply can't beat a 10.5" blade for less than $250! It has a heavy feel to it, which brings back memories of the old straight handled Battle Mistresses. Ah, I miss them so...
 
are these going to be a regular part of the product line or are they get one now cause this is your only chance. I would like one but I'm not sure it's would fit in the budget right now.

I'm hoping to make the Rat Daddy my first Swamp Rat purchase . . . Could you let me know how/where to order one? Once you post here that they are available, do I just go to the swamp rat company store and place an online order, or is there a phone # to call for ordering, etc.

That's pretty much it. I'll post some pics when I receive them, just as comparison photo's and some others and then I'll have them for sale at www.ratknives.com . You just choose "place order" and you can either buy with a CC or place an order to hold one and send a Money order. It's pretty easy and you can register in advance at that site so that all of your info is saved and ready to order. I think that there should be a few of these so they probably won't sell out as quickly as some of the knives we've had, but then again I wouldn't wait if you want one either. At this time we have no plans to do another run, so if you want one I'd get them now.

Thanks for the clarification. I had just seen some scary stuff on the main Swamp Rat page about what happens to people who accidentally call Busse, and I didn't want to become a casualty. I've registered on the company store page and am eagerly awaiting the chance to place the order.

A quick handle question: Do we get a color choice on the micarta handle? The two pics I've seen of the LE had a tan and a black handle . . . Are both available, or what?

Miss them? I bet you have one withing two strides of your computer!

I don't miss them at all. I have a brand spanking new one in desert tan right here!

The LE handles are black/gray. Some of the pics may appear other colors but they will all be black/gray.
