The ESEE 4 is an awesome knife, but it is a little too heavy-duty for the backpacking trips that I bought it for. Used on only 2 backpacking trips this summer and in the kitchen; nothing hard. In excellent condition. The BM Griptillian 551 is also in great shape. It has been carried and used, but the only wear is on the pocket clip. I really like both of these knives and would like to keep them both, but I need a small FB for backpacking. I'm in college right now, so my budget wont allow me to buy what I want.
I'm looking for a small, light weight fixed blade. The BRKT Woodland Special is the type of design I'm looking for, with a 3 inch blade and weighing around 3-4 oz. Open to all brands/makers, but not folding knives. It must be a FB that would be small enough to EDC, but tough enough for bushcraft. I would also trade my ESEE 4 for an ESEE 3. My email is kpcook@oakland.edu
Pics available via email.
Thanks,
Kevin
