To be honest with you, most of the small Asian made button compasses I have used seem to do ok. I'm using a dry compass now for most of my stuff instead of a liquid filled. I have had problems with the liquid filled getting stuck. Try this link:http://www.thecompassstore.com/20mmdrycomp.html

Have you ever tried the nato button compasses? I've heard good things second hand but never anything directly.

A little expensive for me. The one in my K&M is a good one. Suunto brand, dry, seems accurate when compared with my Maratac AQC, and Cammenga.
