Seriously, a lot of us have a stash (mine is currently at $10

), but mostly it's to avaoid the ire of our mates when it comes to spending "disposable" income (fun money). In your case, it sounds like in your present situation, you have no disposable income. I would keep saving for when you can spend it in good conscience, or maybe you might really need it to dig out of a bind (car repairs, etc.)

I do this quite a bit, so if I had $275.00 stashed away that the wife did not know about...I would put it on a Sebenza, or a nice custom. That's what I would do. When she asks when I got it, I will simply say- "oh, it was in the safe, and I decided to start carrying it." Works every time! I am curious about the Busse knives, and I might even purchase one of those. It would take some quality time thinking.

Order her something you like from Victoria's secret and then get your self a dozier. That way you get two great gifts.

If it was my x wife.
Go into debt and buy here something nice for about 2k so she can tell you how much she hates it until her friends see it and complement her on it

Save some pocket change for a SAK classic

(bitter - who me no being single means never having to ask permission or never getting into trouble when you do not.)

Seriously take care of the ones you love first, you will enjoy whatever knives come your way a lot more.

I'd save up another $75 and order a Strider AR Custom Folder,.....since I've already ordered the GB. Then I'd cook my wife dinner and give her a foot massage in order to eliminate any possible sense of pathetic guilt.

Yep, I stash $ also. 10 here, 20 there. I save it up and use it in two different ways.
One is to just buy another knife. The other is to fudge on the price, ie. my CTII only cost $200. Recently I got some display cases. Mistake, then my wife saw most all of my knives all nicely displayed together. She had no idea of how many I had purchased. But I told her that they were just cheap Microtechs. I would feel guilty, but she spends more on clothes and shoes and more shoes. I guess I am just making things even. At least I can sell my collection if we ever need the $. But I am not spending the grocery money either. Sorry for rambling, but I am a strong beliver in having my $ stash. Could be spending it on worse things, but I am too old for that.

But, to be serious. If I were in the situation you describe. I would keep that money right where it is at. Save the knife buying for later.
