Hi. I am new to this particular forum.
I am also new to RAT knives, and I only own the Izula. Six of them, actually. All black.
I would buy more RAT models but have plenty of knives to fill the other niches. I hope RAT makes a machete, golok or other chopping machine as that would be the only other model I would buy. And I would probably buy six of them as well.
But in the fixed-blade, concealed carry, non-scary-looking-yet-totally-dangerous category, the Izula is the only one I own, from any maker.
They are comfortable to carry.
They are easy to hide.
They are ergonomic.
They are very tough.
They slice through almost anything.
They are easy to acquire.
And, if I break one, I know I have invested hours of training and general tasks into the breakage, which will compensate for the < $50 I spent on it.
In a nutshell, I like Izulas and cannot think of a better knife for general use, daily carry, or for beating the crap out of while doing self-defense training against various targets. And if you cannot afford to train with a knife, then how will you ever know how to really use it?
So I just want to thank you, RAT, for making the Izula.
Now, what's this rumor I hear about a stainless version...?
