Rat Izula?

I bought an Izula so that I could sell sheaths for it.

And then I found out that I really like it. It is well made, and a good size. A little thick behind the edge, but appropriate for the crowd it is being sold to.

Best,
Marion

I love my Izulas. I keep one in my Emergency Bag and one in my pocket for EDC tasks. When I go into the woods I always have one of my Izulas on me.
And as a side note they have the best warranty in the business. Lifetime warranty no matter what, even if its your fault. Chances are that you will never have a warranty issue but it is nice to know that if something unforseen happens to your knife it will be taken care of.

Here is my Rat family:

And my EDC:

This one I stripped and then gun blued and did a paracord wrap:

I love mine. it fits a niche for me in situations that are not quite right for a folder(sand, saltwater, one hand access), but don't need much blade either. while mine rides backup a lot (currently second fiddle to my BM grip550) I'm much more willing to beat on the izula. in fact, I would EDC it except that at the moment the folder is more public friendly, and given that all of my work happens in plain view of the public, it is a concern.
I can see though that it is not the knife for all people, it isn't the best slicer, though it's ok, but I don't want it to be a slicer, I want a tank.

I use the Izula alot for EDC and as a backup out in the woods.

I prefer a slightly larger primary blade with a larger handle for outdoors use (hiking, hunting, camping, ect.).

Given a choice, I will grab an RC-3 or RC-4 as the primary (or shortly, a Bark River - Fox River will be in the mix), and use the Izula for smaller tasks.

I carry mine almost daily. I love it. Its tough yet balanced has a good edge and feels good in the hand.

My original intent was to wear the Izula on the shoulder strap of a pack.

I have mine paracord wrapped, but I am kind of interested in the scales that are going to be sold for them.

my izula is on the body strap of my maxped jumbo pack. it sits upside down and is PERFECT for that bag and ergonomic for quick grab.. damn fine lil knife

im awaiting one in the mail now i just hope it makes it here before friday as i want to take it to montana with me fore some back country snowboarding

I pack this little ant every where...It is always in one of my pockets or around my neck. It's a "mini" tank of a knife ! I also have the BeckerNecker & it's a little bigger & the sheath is more bulky & harder to conceal but stil a Vety good knife & it rides in my Maxpedition BottleHolder kit
Get on & you'll love it !

Love that orange. I probably shoud get one for the Buck Paclite that I ordered last night.
