rat knife?

i need some advice on witch company i should get a rat knife from Ontario rat or rat cutlery and to get the rat 4 or rat 3 i want a knife that i can carry on occasion like if i go to a really bad neighborhood but primarily to use it really hard in the woods but i don't need to do batoning so i don't need a long blade
so can you give your opinion please i wold greatly appreciate it thanks.

Most here will advise you to go with RAT cutlery. They are down on Ontario. I think both companies make great knives and I could flip a coin and be happy either way.

Yep, you are right. You can't go wrong with them. There is no such thing as a "rat 4." You could get the RAT-3 or TAK from Ontario. I would recommend the RC-3 or RC-4 from RAT Cutlery. Their quality beats Ontario RATs hands-down. You also get people who stand behind their product all of the way with RAT Cutlery. You do not get that with Ontario.
 
I don't own an Ontario Rat, so maybe I shouldn't comment...but my RC-3 and RC-4 are really nice knives.
 
Go with RAT. You won't even have to give a second thought as to whether or not you made the right decision.
 
The RAT Cutlery knives are much nicer than their Ontario kin. Better fit and finish, edge, and the sheaths are very nice. Plus RAT's customer service is top notch. And RC-3 is an excellent woods knife, I use mine in rotation with some other knives.
 
i an getting a rat cutlery but a rc3 or rc4 an what website i know newgrham but they dont have any rc3 models and they dont have the rc4 with molle
 
ok i am getting the rc4 but newgrham doesent have the plain edge in stock so tell me a website that accepts paypal and has it
 
I have a Ontario Rat3 and a TAK that both are 1095 and they are great knives. I got them before the Big fallout. I have heard that the RC3 and the RC4 are hard to beat. I dont know because I dont own either. As for the rat3 and the Tak. Good knives! I think youll be happy with either.
 
actually i recently went to my local knife store and they had a ontario rat 7 so i bought
it and it was fine but i still want a rat cutlery rat3 now
