I have here a dead mint Swamp Rat Knife Works Rat Mastiff!!! Yes, it is dead mint! Not a scratch or blem to be seen, nor are there any smoothing spots on the crinkle coat. I was lucky enough to pick up two of these in the last year, but I only want to keep my user...
This is a generation one Rat Mastiff. The blade is sterile, saber ground, it has a WICKED penetrator tip, and the old school black canvas micarta scales...which I believe to be the most beautiful black micarta I have ever seen. I kid you not...this blade feels unbelievable in hand and it was my grail knife for the longest time. Specs are as follows:
Steel: Differentially heat-treated SR-101
Blade Length: 9 3/4''
Overall Length: 15 3/8''
Thickness: 1/4''
I would much rather just trade for a nice piece of INFI, but I would be willing to sell it as well. OK, well here is my wishlist and I would be happy to add a blade or some cash for the right trade:
1. SAR-8 (satin or double cut) or a SAR-4 LE
2. NMSFNO (mags preferred)
3. ASH-1 (mags preferred)
4. Inactive Duty (g-10 scales preferred)
5. Customs (Tom Krein or Horton only!)
6. Cold Steel San Mai III Trail Master (MUST BE NEW IN BOX!)
