Rat Pack here I come!

People, posting does'nt keep ESEE in business, buying product DOES. I don't care one way or another about a Pack # and I have almost everything this company has ever produced (going back to Ontario). What good does being a pack member do if you don't buy product, or, if you've never really handled any of their knives? If you really want to DO something, pull the trigger on that ESEE you've been raving about.

Joining the pack is more about contributing to the forum, and less about going out and buying ESEE product, but that's good too.

My advice (unsolicited) is to bide your time and post as if there was no race to 25.

Chris

Good Grief, I think there needs to be a general consensus being....If you are in the Rat Pack you are cool, if you are not in the rat pack you are a loser.

Nothing about buying or support, it's either you are cool or you are not.

it seems like a BIG DEAL when you first get it. but the allure kinda wears off, although it is fun to enter contests, and have it in my sig line ;) :D and the free badge of course ;)

I was speaking to what I perceive to be ESEE's intent for this forum. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Just my opinion, but your stressing over next to nothing in the big picture...

Stick around and read, read, read...then form your own opinions.

Considering the amount of times the owners have told people to not buy thier knives, that an old timer and a machete are all you need, and that the entire industry is bullshit, I'd say the intent of the pack is not to sell knives :)

Come on people, if ESEE does'nt care, and is telling everyone NOT to purchase their product, why do they bother to continue to manufacture ANYTHING! Why don't they just order patches and stickers and whatever other literature they need to keep a little Pack-thing going. Hell, how about a 'Not-for-Profit' organization.

The industry is mostly hype and bullshit, but some things are just to cool to not have,.... Anyway give me my number too, I gotta go the mailman is delivering a few things to the door right now!

and to all you guy's who are going to the ESEE fest have a great time!!

we did! you should plan on making the October one!

What is the ESEE fest?

It's a gathering of folks from here on the forum and their families for a few days of camping, swapping stories, eating, swapping stories, maybe some hiking, fishing, boating, etc...
and if you want to practice some skills, you can.

I know how you feel about waiting. It does add to the thrill though. I have one on the way I bought last night.

Welcome to the forum.
