My first post; let me introduce mysefl: I'm Charlie... from Republic of Texas.

I'm close to ordering a Rat Pack Kit w/RC-5 and would sure appreciate it if I could see a pic of the sheath, which fits inside the pouch.

Hi Charlie. This pic from the RAT website shows it pretty well. It's designed to be universal between the RC-5 and 6 so that is why it doesn't look like a standard sheath like you might expect. I'm patiently awaiting receipt of my Rat Pack kit with an RC-6. Very excited about it!

can you draw the knife from the sheath with it all zipped up or do you have to unzip it first. what all comes w/ this kit i couldn't find it on their site
 
Its on the website, just go under rat cutlery then go to knives, then all the way at the bottom is the rat pack kit.
 
i think i am probably gonna have to order atleast one of those for my bob kit. that would be perfect set up for camping also. does it matter which one you order as i prefer a straight blade no serrations??
 
Grunt the Rat Pack kit is only available in plain edge. You can draw the knife by unwrapping the shock cord from around the handle. This comes with the sheath being universal. You don't have to unzip it.

I ordered the tan version for no reason other than black just gets kind of old and I really liked the looks of the khaki. It will most likely show dirt and wear a little more, but I can handle that.
 
thank you adam. i saw january for when they are expecting them but then will probably have to fill a good amount of back orders. i think i am gonna place my order and wait :(

I'm stocked, we should all do a good pictorial work-up of the kits when we get them.
 
I just ordered a black RC-5 kit. The black version is all they have in stock right now...I wanted black anyway, so it worked for me. Supposedly the khaki will be in sometime in February??
 
so they do have the black version in stock moengo?? i thought i saw it was out of stock till January. i am gonna go look at the site again cause i really want one bad
 
According to their website the kits are not available...I called and was told they are sold out of the khaki version, but they still had received some more black ones. They apparently are going fast so I wanted to make sure and get my order in asap.

I will most definitely take mine out and use it and take some good pics. I'd say it's the least I could do to show my appreciation. No pics of it sticking in a log either, gotta put it to use!
