Rat Pack Kit

I don't know if I should pre-order my kit, or wait until they are available to order.

I have seen this knife "put to use" in Suriname, by US Army, while they were in jungle training exercises with the Suriname military. The RC-5 got a lot of attention/praise from everyone... and it left a big impression on me...these guys are particular about the knife they want with them in the jungle.

The black RAT Pack kits will be here Monday. Probably early Feb before the Khaki versions are available again. If you already have an order in for a khaki RAT Pack I have enough to cover those orders but no new ones. I will be shipping about mid week next week. Mike

I gotta add, I love my pack.. this thing kicks ass mike. looking for a way to lock the 'zula in there too... just too tempting to load this thing up with everything.
 
We should start a thread about the different items people would put inside their Kit. It already comes with a knife/sharpener/fire starter...I'm thinking a small amount of fishing line and a couple of hooks...wish I could figure a way to get my hammock in there.

whistle, sak, twine, vasoline coated cotton balls in the fire kit, compass, local maps (it has a GREAT map pocket), paracord on the side, flashlight, water tabs, all seem to be standard type gear people toss in.

My lil addition was a roll-up saw blade...now sporting paracord handles

Just curious as to if mine has gone out yet. Black kit with an RC5 to Lincoln, RI...
 
Wife just called, my khaki with RC-5 just arrived.

I think I may need to leave work a bit early today ~cough, cough~... not feeling so good ~cough~.

I really wish I hadn't seen this, I may have to rethink my feeling that I didn't need or want one of the bigger RATs. I fear once I get one I will be hooked like all the rest of you.
