I live in Central Florida and Banana Spiders can be found every where you look in the woods. They are huge too. The average Banana Spider's body is about 1" long and about 2 1/2" to 3" in diameter if you include the legs. The weave very large webs that are yellow in color and amazingly tough. I used to live in the country and you could find 5 or 6 spiders within a 20 ft distance along the edge of the woods. My neighbor and I used to have to go on Spider recons before we could mow the grass!
