RAT pack name change/Forum Knife information

We have made an executive decision to NOT change the name of the RAT pack. We discussed it this week and Mike B, Tony and myself have decided to not mess with it.

With that said I do have information on the forum knife. We nailed down some details and I will be getting with Jeff to have some artwork done and have further information about ordering, pricing and dates at that time.


We've decided to go with the Izula II. The blade will be OD green and the handles will remain the same as the standard canvas micarta handles. The engraving on the blade needs to be discussed with Jeff and Shon and when I do I'll let you know.

The Mr and I have talked about adding an after market kydex sheath with each knife. Those details will also be worked out amongst us and I will let you know our decision at a later time.

Thank you to everyone for your dedication to the company and your input on the forums. It's very much appreciated by all of us.

Guyon email me your information and I will be shipping you out a set of Nav cards when we get back home. :)
 
well i for one am glad. keeping the rat pack name AND making the knife an izula 2. did you guys read my mind? :eek:

Only six posts into the name-change-contest thread, and I took it home with "The RAT Pack." :D
I would like to know if "The Ethan Becker Experience" was ever in the running though. :p

The only name that I think would have been ok would be a simple version of what we have. From the "Rat Pack" to "The Pack".
Simple.

Very excited about the OD Izula II. I think I'm in on that one depending when.

This is NOT anything ESEE was involved in. In fact, anything on this forum not posted by the Rowen's or Mike P or myself is not "official." Katie asked us about this and we told her to decide it amongst the mods and leave us out of it.

As for using the name RAT Pack on any knife, we will not do that. Ontario Knife Company owns the RAT trademark and we will not name a knife using someone else's mark.
 
Very cool I can't wait for this.

It seems like this version of the pack knife is going to be "as-is", rather than having user input like last time. I feel like that makes every thing so much more simple and if you don't like it don't get it. Thanks for all your work

I think having too much input from people here would be a cluster*&%$.

I'd like my pack number on it just so it felt 'special' to me or whatever, but if not that's not an issue.

I think a custom kydex sheath would be cool as well.

I'm looking forward to it!

edit: I was going to buy an OD izula on a last order but cancelled it. Glad to hear the choice!

I missed the first model, I do not want to miss this one!

...and micarta is very good too ! :thumbup:
