There's nothing better than being a Soldier, defender of good ol' USA with an M-16 and a RAT 4!!! :cool:

Ok ... as promised, here are a few pictures of some toys I acquired since I got here. Now, I did some research on these two blades and the first picture is apparently an AKM Type II East German bayonet. It's been thoroughly scrubbed since I took the photo. Not sure what kind of steel, but man, it is hard to sharpen!!

The second photo is of a Schrade XT-something ... can't really read the rest. When I acquired it, the tip was bend so I tried to unbend it by hitting the tip with a hammer. Well, that didn't go so well ... the tip broke. So I did my best to try and fix it up ... wa-la!!

And the last photo is of my homemade slingshot, made from a creosote bush Y-branch. I didn't acquire this toy .. I made it. The band was cut from a slab of rubber that I bought. The pouch was cut from a leather jacket that I got from Goodwill. I made a bunch of these and took this one with me. Whenever the troopers act up, they get tagged! J/K! But I enjoy target practicing with it.
