this is from 2008 with just the rat logo on it as pictured. the misch steel is gone but the rest is unused. it has the original screw and rubber gasket for installing a new steel. includes original paperwork. asking 45.00 shipped CONUS paypal ok.

So can you put a new firesteel in it? If so what diameter?
i believe this is the replacement. Otter Firesteel - Misch Metal Ferro Rod Blank - 5/16" x 4" the hole at the end of the holder is a bit bigger than 5/16" so a 5/16 steel will work. the original screw to hold it is included as is the rubber o ring that goes thru the screw. the original steel just crumbled after 4 yrs. or so. i never did use it.
