RAT Support

Brett, I think I heard somewhere that it was rated second only to the Bible as the most influential book ever written. All I can say is it is VERY powerful even though it's not an easy read for the first 100 pages or so. Matter of fact, I'm about to start on some more Ayn Rand stuff.

I actually read it in college. You have prompted me to pick it up and read it again.

I'll PM you with any impressions.

Good luck with everything.

Thanks Brett. Any man that's read Atlas Shrugged and is reading it again is my kinda person. I know that person "got it. " ;)

oh yes, no matter how much communistic, socialist BS I encounter, I see through it. our world is increasingly losing it's sense of the individual self. A shame!

Jeff & Mike is there any update that you can give us that would not be saying too much or negatively effect you guys. I know counsel has been offered maybe a statement from them as they know how to phrase things the proper way as to not worsen a situation.

How about patches? That be cool to no?

patches would take a while to orchestrate and would require money up front and putting together an order can take a lot of work just ask preacherman over on the WSS page. Pins/buttons would be easy enough though.

This are just working samples bu this is what I had in mind

edited out of respect

let me know what you guys think

Guys, first of all let me say that we appreciate the support for RAT Cutlery, more than you may ever know. Our customers mean everything to us. I cannot stop someone from voicing their opinion here but publicly telling someone to "f**k off" is beyond the professionalism of RAT Cutlery. We really do wish Ontario and every other knife maker and manufacturer the best. We simply want the same respect in return and be allowed to operate our business as we see fit, and to retain what property is ours. Again, thanks for the support but I just don't want to go out of bounds on how we believe and how we run our business. I truly hope this does not hurt anyone's feelings by me saying this because I know the intentions are well meant.

Jeff

I agree, the F.O.K. campaign is NOT what RAT needs, evenif it's what we are all thinking.

Kudos to you for staying above.

Brett

As an addition to the above, if someone really wanted to show their public and professional support for RAT Cutlery, then have shirts made up with the RAT Cutlery logo and without the F.O.K. We just trademarked that logo but we are more than happy to give our permission to all of you here to have the shirts made up.

Again, I'm not trying to hurt feelings and I'm not upset with anyone. I realize you guys are showing your support. Let's just take that support and make it as professional as we strive to make RAT Cutlery.

Thanks,

Jeff

I called it! Post #2. haha.

Maybe we can do it without the F.O.K., how about FUBAR or something else.

Now, where do I order some merch in support of RAT CUTLERY ?? I dig my new avatar btw :D

Ontario :thumbdn:

Jeff you are right and I would like to apologize for letting my emotions get the better of me (guess its that d@mn Irish temper of mine) and give you so much credit for not doing the same. Being the owner of a fledgling small business I can only imagine how you must feel. My respect for you and Mike grows every time you post something; as your posts show the level of your professionalism & integrity.
If anything were to be produced it should reflect this. I feel something like this would much more embody what RAT Cutlery stands for.

Also, I totally forgot that you guys do have you own logo merch and would urge anybody that was keen on the idea of a shirt to follow this like and purchase one directly from the source.

Guys,

We buy so few of these shirts and hats that the price is high. If you guys can get the logo gear made up on other sites cheaper for the Blade show or wherever you want to wear it, then please do since we don't want to see anyone spend money when they don't need to.

Again, just know we appreciate the support but we're not in this thing for anyone's blood. We have never been destroyers and never will be. We simply let our work, honor and integrity speak for itself. RAT Cutlery is just going to continue to operate as we always have and go forward. We'll let the lawyers figure out the rest. Guys, life is too short to worry about what's going to happen tomorrow. We'll be prepared but it will not cause us to lose sleep.

As for me, I've finally decided to take a weekend off even though I am behind on articles, photos and a bunch of other work. The past few weeks have been hectic and I'm going to enjoy this weekend working in the garden planting some potatoes and visiting with family.

Just know that RAT Cutlery appreciates each and every one of you guys. Let's get back to talking about knives for a while, and as new developments take place we'll keep people updated.

Jeff

Jeff,

Looking for any supportive evidence I can scrape up. Meantime, as a show of moral support, here's me wearing my RAT hat in Vegas at one of the many SHOT shows. Don't remember everything we did that night, but obviously nobody's talking. :D

I nearly baught an ontario RAT yesterday, WOW am i glad i didnt :mad:

I then came home and had a look here for a bit more info. before taking the plunge, WOW am i glad i did :mad:

After reading some of the threads here last night and today i have to say its trully a shady shady world we live in.

I just want to add my self to the growing group of supporters

I truly wish you all the best :)

Jeff and Mike,
Support is everywhere for you guys. Best wishes and full support here. I think you guys have an awesome philosophy for life. What you focus on expands. Let's stay positive and upright, As you have always been, and like you said " let the lawyers figure it out". :D Any help that can be given will be given with an open heart. Here is to honesty and upright action. Something Ontario has lost sight of, because of greed.

Jeff- I hugely recommend giving The Fountainhead a read if you haven't yet, it was my 'first love' of her works and is still my favorite. Absolutely great book.

As far as support, I'd definitely be down for one of the t-shirts, especially if we got some cheaper ones so some of the profit could be spent on potential RC legal fees. Something more 'neutered' not directly mentioning the lawsuit would be favorable. Maybe with the ayn rand quote? or "Who is RC cutlery?"
