Rat Trap Discontinued....

i was lucky enough to get mine a couple of weeks ago on ebay, had no idea they were going to be discotinued and carried it on duty for a week or so. now only carried rdo. so thin and carryable i forget it is there. but large useful blade. i feel it outdoes my friends strider rcc in nearly every way.
 
I'm glad I got my Rat Trap LE from Swamp Rat and a user from a fellow Rat. I guess that makes more room for sumthin new! :D
 
So does that mean that we poor folks who've had orders in for a while will still get ours or are all existing orders automagically cancelled? :(

Historically Swamp Rat has filled all backorders made through the company store after discontinuing a product.

IOW, they never leave anyone that has already placed an order hanging in this type of situation.
 
what about SRKW warranty? if something happens to my belowed rat trap? do they keep some spare blades?
I'd better stop messing with them watermelons>>

I believe they give you store credit for the original purchase price. Eric can back that up if he stops by here.

If we are not able to repair a knife that has been discontinued we will give you a shop credit for the original retail price of the knife

3/16" SR-101 blade with a full flat grind and a small choil, with a choice of coated blade finishes too!!

And lets not forget about those scales. I want to see colored G-10 scales! Solid colors such as green, tan, or blue. And in combos like black/green, black/tan, or black/blue G-10!

So, to get started, I'll take one with a OD green blade with green/black G-10 and one coated in tan with tan/black G-10 scales..... ;)

PS. It is officially that Swamp Rat will fill all backorders on this Knife? In case of need with the new Rat Trap II? ;)
 
And after several years of EXTREMELY hard use, mine is back in the shop for the warranty work. I've been SO hard on it TNRAT and Eric talked me into a Rodent solution...

If you press as hard as you can on a piece of plywood to cut r-13 insulation and drag the blade off the board onto concrete slab..... It will NOT ruin the blade, even after four days. Lol.
