RAT vs TAK

Glad to hear you picked up a TAK ,I own 1ea 1095 & D2 models and I like both version...now next year RAT Cutlery is coming out with a RC-6 and looks great.
 
Yeah O think the TAK in 1095 (I'm just more comfortable with that steel) is the way to go for me. All around it seems like a better bushcraft tool; as compared to the more tactical RAT-5.

As far as the RAT-7 goes I think I'll just go for the big daddy here at some point and get the RTAK-II, as I do have a soft spot in my heart for big choppers.

Melt Thank you I am aware of the Becker Kabar coupling. However as with everything I never buy anything as soon as it comes out as I always like to wait and let all the real-world kinks to be worked out. So it will be awhile before I would buy on of the Kabar Beckers.
 
My son has got a TAK in 1095 for christmas and although I have obviously not used it my first impressions are that it seems a real tank like knife.
The fit and finish are pretty good , the grinds are even and it came shaving sharp !!!
