rat7 in d2 opinions pleaes

just lookin for some opinions before i go and get it, if i do hah.

try not to be too biased
 
you're going to get a lot of mixed reviews because its not from Rowen and has the "special" heat treat and the "no question asked warranty". I love my Rat 7 in D2 and abuse the hell out of it. Both Rat & Esee are great manufacturers that make great knives and have a lifetime warranty. :D
 
The RAT-7 is manufactured buy Ontario Knife Company. You will have to check with them about the warranty. We designed the blade but have nothing to do with the manufacturing of it.
 
from what i have been reading, rat knives defintely the rat 7 isnt warrientied by esee

and i cant find a warranty sight from ontario

I like the look of the knife, have heard decent reviews of it.
I like to fondle knives before i decide. Im not aware of any suppliers of esee products in my area unfortuntely
 
If you think you might be interested in it, I would take a look at the ESEE-6 instead. Best warranty in the business and a better sheath system. Finishing and details on the ESEE blades are better than the Ontario offerings as well, in my opinion.

RAT 7 is a good blade. As Jeff mentioned, they designed it back in the day but have no affiliation beyond that currently.
 
I'm with Adam, go with the ESEE 6. It comes with a great sheath system, the best heat treat, and most of all the best warranty in the business. Also you can purchase the molle back and pouch to add onto the sheath for a survival kit, flashlight, sharpening rod, and other items. The attention to detail is second to none also.
