The best time to get one is while they're in the store. If you wait until they're gone, the price will only go up.

Probably not too long.
When a new Busse/Swamp Rat/Scrapyard knife is announced, they are generally open for pre-orders. During the pre-order period, you basically order your knife with whatever available options you want, then wait for it to be made and shipped. Pre-orders stay open for some variable length of time known only to those "in the know", which generally isn't us, although the end of pre-orders is usually announced a few days before they close. Once closed, no more orders for that knife are taken.
However, during the pre-order period, some knives usually make their way in to the company store, where you can buy them without needing to pre-order. This typically means that you might be limited in options (to what's available) like color or handle choices, but it also means you don't need to wait for the knife to be made.
Now, sometimes you run in to the situation where some knives happen to show up in the store, and are in-stock, when the pre-order closes. Sometimes a batch gets finished after the pre-order closes, and they also show up in the store. Right now, that's the situation with the RatManDeux LE. There are knives in stock, but the pre-order is closed, so whatever is left is it.
How long will they last? Who knows. Some of the Bussekin dealers will buy a bunch of knives for resell on the secondary, so it's possible for supplies to dwindle fast. If you want one, or even think you might want one, and can afford it, then get it. If you change your mind, you can always sell it later.
Now that you have your credit card out, and are frantically trying to find the Swamp Rat store (http://www.shop.ratknives.com/), just remember who provided you this valuable information, and order an extra one...

I have #3; feels great in the hand and is sharp as hell. I don't know if this one will get any use; I just had to have it because it looked good and it was the first satin from the Swamp for me.

I have one and really like it. I was not impressed with the sharpness so when I have time I will send it back for sharpening.

How long did it take to get to you? I'm in California and it shipped on monday.
Shipped USPS Priority Mail Thurs arrived Sat, but that was Kentucky to Virginia.
I would expect you will have it today or tomorrow.

Has anyone noticed rust issues on the bare SR101?
