Here is a Ratmandu that I recieved in trade a while back, I stripped the blade and made a firesteel sheath for it...what do you think? I like the 5"-6" blades lately...kind of middle of the road. Sorry I havn't been visiting lately guys, I have been working alot and out Bow hunting with some of my new recurves...having a blast hunting by the way. Gene

Nice!! Great work on the sheath!

Nice job on the knife and sheath. Looks like they will see lots of use, and serve you well.

Like the sheath!

I got one of David Brown's kydex sheaths for my Ratmandu. I may have to add a firesteel loop! The RMD is a great size and thickness. The swamp hit a home run when the designed it. Everyone must like it, there are very few hitting the secondary market.

Its really really lousy You should get rid of it before it ruins your reputation !!!

Send it immediateley to me for propper disposal, this is just one of the many services I offer :D

I picked one up at Blade and liked the knife, but wish they had done away with the thumb ramp. Maybe I hold knives funny or have misshapen hands, but the Swamp Rat thumb ramps always end up with the point of the ramp in the middle of my thumb, which is pretty uncomfortable. I wanted to take a grinder or Dremel to it, but didn't want to mangle a nice knife.

Love the Ratmandu! Thanks for posting the pic.
