Ratmandu vs Esee 6 Final battle!

To the OP, I'd get the RMD for what I consider superior design, materials, and ergonomics (all reflected in the increased price). ESEE wouldn't be far short though, although I am not convinced that Fallkniven wouldn't be superior to both in the hypothetical scenario (since their low-ball warranty won't make a difference out there), and there are a number of other makers with similar offerings...

Its important to me that when they find my frozen corpse they are able to take my knife if its broken and collect on the warranty.

im new here, but have been reading thread after thread about esee and fallkniven as well as some SRKW.
and in that situation id choose neither.

i rather go with a fallkniven A1. seems to be better on firesteel than coated blades.
the frozen north is a wet environment and the stainless is better for that, although you lose toughness and egde retention compared to the RMD and ESEE. i think the Fallkniven can definitely take just about whatever you can give it.

+ 1 and I'll add that if you don't have gloves with you, you'll be thankfull for the Thermorun handles!
