The RatMastiffs are now gone. After processing the orders (and the shopping cart getting overwhelmed) they are all gone. I did have a very small second offering and it also oversold which ate up the remaining blades.

Unless someone cancels or has buyers remorse it appears the RatMastiffs are SOLD OUT

Sorry to anyone that didn't get one, I appreciate your patience and understanding.

Eric... Thanks for doing the store offerings for us. I know they are a headache for you but the Rats do appreciate it!

Where else can you order a Rat and have it arrive within a week?! :D

Stacey,
I appreciate the comments, and yes, they are a headache for me. I've been in front of the computer all evening processing orders, answering emails, calling my CC authorization service, calling customers because of errors on their orders. Trying to update the forums, counting and recounting orders to make sure that everyone that was able to get an order placed actually has a knife to receive. While doing this I was trying to feed the kids, get them ready for bed, keep them from killing each other and then fixing supper for my wife who had to work late.

I enjoy being able to offer these knives to everyone, but honestly it would be easier to box them up and haul them to a show. However, if I would do this then all of my friends on the forums would not have a chance at them and a very limited number of people in the show location would be the only ones that would be able to get them.

Even though it isn't a pleasant experience it makes me happy when people begin getting their knives and the pictures start coming in.
I just wish everyone that wanted one would be able to get one.

Well you didn't get your wish this time, pal! :D

I definitely wanted one. That is not what was stopping me. :D

I am wearing a new Rat, however, so I cannot complain too much.

BTW, I think everyone agrees the split times works much better. We greatly appreciate all your consideration, Eric.

Thanks for your dedication.

I was not interested in the RM, but have a RW on order. I'm just piping in here to say that Eric is the only person I've experienced in this industry that comes close to taking care of us as well as Jerry Busse. I realize that these are two very different positions, but, Eric, you take care like it was your company, and for that I hope Jennifer appreciates you. Because we most certainly do. Thank You!

Eric,

Even though the company store said they were available, allowed me to add one to my cart, took me through the entire checkout process, and then told me my cart was empty, I appreciate your efforts and your position. Lots of headaches and hard work for you I'm sure.

I guess it just isn't meant to be that I cross over to the dark side and own a Rat. :D

I understand your frustation, the problem I have is that so many people start the order at the same time, when there are limited quantities, each puts one in the shopping cart and while it does take it out of inventory the order isn't complete until it is submitted. If someone submits their order just a milisecond ahead of yours the knife goes to them. And since both of you had the "same" knife in your cart it causes a real problem. This only occurs when there are so many trying to buy at the same time, if the orders were even a minute apart it wouldn't be a problem, because they wouldn't show up as available in the beginning of the process.

Thanks again for understanding and I am sorry you missed out.

Eric, I feel for you. Maybe postng and taking orders in the order of the postings on this forum may well be the way to go. jerry did it like that and us Hogs never had a problem. Of course Hogs get along:D

Seems like you'd constantly be checking BF to see if Jerry (or Eric or Scott) had posted. I spend enough time on BF. The current system is fair enough IMO. Of course, I might change my tune if I miss out on the blade of a lifetime. :D

Folks just have to be quick on their clicks and cutting/pasting. It *helps* to have the account info already set up.

I'm relatively new to SW knives and this forum. I have found a new addiction in both.
Eric, I appreciate your time and work you put into this to make the RM happen. I cant wait to hold it in my hands. Thanks again for all the trouble to make a few of us very happy.

That's not entirely true. Snagged one as a letter opener for my mom. I just hope she doesn't break it.

Someone told me that they wern't sharp enough to cut paper.

That why they make them so wide. They wear down something fierce when you bludgeon thru the paper, even worse with cardboard.

sucks to have such bad ass knives that they sell out in three and a half minutes, doesn't it?
