I'm interested in buying a Street Scrapper 4, but I'm curious why your price is $190 when it's listed as $139.95 on their web site. Is it impossible to get them?

Hey Mountainman38, that's a legitimate question. You are looking at the original price from Scrap Yard. However, the SS4's in INFI steel are, more than likely, a thing of the past. There were a couple of runs offered by Scrap Yard, both of which sold out in minutes.

If there ever is another run of the SS4, I imagine it would be in SR-77 (Swamp Rat's take on SR-7 tool steel) and not INFI. The only way you'll find this knife now is on the secondary market.

It's not impossible to get them here on the Exchange, but given their scarcity, you'll likely face a mark-up. Use the Search function for this board, and type in SS4. You'll get an idea of what they've sold for.

Thanks for all the good info. I'm dissappointed that the SS4 is so scarce, though I guess it's not surprising. I've been looking for a nice 4" knife as a present for myself for my 40th birthday, and the SS4 at $139.95 looked like a pretty sweet deal, especially since it was in INFI! I did notice that there was no way to order one on their site, so I guess they need to update things a bit.

Guess I'll go back to looking at Charles May and Gene Ingram knives.
 
WHATS THE HANDLE MATERIALS ON BOTH THE Scrap Yard Dumpster Mutt AND THE Scrap Yard Street Scrapper 4. INFI steel ? THANKS ,,

I'm interested in the Mutt, but I've heard that the handles are kind of small.
I have pretty big mitts. Any advice? Are the handles the same size as the Swamp Rat Coots? I have an INFI Coot and the handle is a little small for me.

Troop, I can't really make the comparison as I don't have an INFicoot. I will say that I have a user HRLM as well as fairly large hands (size L or XL in gloves), and the HRLM fits my hand pretty nicely.

Try posting your inquiry over in the Swamp Rat forum (INFIcoot handle versus HRLM handle). I'm sure someone there can help.
