I thought this would be a good place to start posting again and Hi all

Before anyone says anything I still have the iron sight for the K-98 and yes my grandfather brought it back from Europe when he came back from the war.

The RC-3 MIL with my 1942 spear (currently unshootable Mosin Nagant 91/30) :D

Edit: pardon the new looking RAT. I have had it for awhile, but have not had the opportunity to REALLY use it. It's been used for some small stuff around the yard, some food, some garage work, and that's it. Left it at home for the camping/hiking trips so some cheaper blades could get some love (and I wouldn't mind losing them).

What's wrong with your Mosin?

There are some really nice pics in this thread. Some look good enough to be used in a marketing campaign. :)

Nothing is wrong with it. I just purchased it recently and it needs a new barrel band, and it's missing the rear tang screw, which I lost :|

The Mosin Nagant is a great rifle. And they are a dime a dozen so finding parts for them is pritty easy. With that said your Nagant is 1 of the better looking ones i've seen in a long time. Did you refinish it yourself?

Yeah, i've sourced the parts I need to order. And I just purchased it from a local gun store like that, no refinishing by me, I couldn't pass it up for $90. :)

Still has some cosmoline in some of the harder to reach areas that I need to finish cleaning out.

Mosins in general are real cheap unless you're looking for more of the collectors. InsaneMachine has a beautiful M44 that will throw an entire magazine of brown bear POS 203 grain pills through the same hole at 180 yards.

Here are a couple of mine (sorry about picture quality, I spent more on guns than I did on a nice camera :). This is the HEST pass around knife, BTW.

Here's a pic of my Bulgarian Makarov. When I got it, the trigger pull was terrible, so I had it refined by Teddy Jacobson of Sugarland Texas. Teddy is an artisan when it comes to pistol actions.
