RATs at knife shows?

most all the "gun" shows in the kansas city and portland area
that ive attended had numerous knife dealers
(some more than others of course)

usually at least a few(even at the very smallest shows)
dealers that carried custom knives
and some carrying production knives
tho many are dealers with tables full o pos imported "tactical" styles
they seem to sell boatloads of that crap

the show in kc this past wkend
termed an "antique arms" show
with maybe 150-200 tables
had about a half dozen local knifemakers with their own stuff
a cupla local dealers who handle primarily customs from the midwest
and about a half dozen dealers of production knives
everything from the cheap junk to the top-o-the-line production knives
and that doesnt count all the "gun" guys who had
a huge selection to just a handful
of quality knives

didnt see a rc knife anywhere-but i was primarily looking for other stuff this show
don't give up on gun shows
most anyone who appreciates a quality firearm also seeks out quality knives
and knife dealers know this
ya might contact an area knife maker
knife collector
knife shop
antique dealer who deals in knives
hunting/gun shop
and ask about local shows

I dont see any shows down south. I'd most not get one at a show anyway the prices at the gun and knife shows are slightly high.

Yea, buying knives online can really save you some money and it's easy but I still do prefer to hold a knife in my hand and play around with it a little before I buy.

Ya but i would just go there to get a feel for the knives and then order them online.

Yeah! That always gives the dealer guy/gal behind the table, a warm fuzzy feeling after spending all that time showing, demonstrating, answering your questions & etc about all the knives he/she has invested in just for your pleasure: and then see you walk away, most of the time without a thank you. :(

Rant Off: Sorry.......

Im always polite when i look at something whether it be a fishing pole, knife or a gun and then say "thanks" and walk away. Its just the way it is though. Like the other day i went to Bass Pro Shop and looked at the Ka Bar USMC. They are selling it for like $90 after tax i think. I held the knife, examined it and gave it back to the guy. Said thank you and left the store. Looked online and found it listed for $60. Needless to say i definetly wont be buying the Ka Bar from Bass pro. I do get where you are coming from though and it must be frustrating as a dealer.

You would have paid $57.00 for the KaBar USMC at my table. :)

I do appreciate your reply. Thanks :)
