I have Cat's and Dog's but I'm sure there are some of you out there who have more shall we say exotic pets. Snakes Spiders Rats what is your unique pet? What inspired you to choose that unique pet for yourself.

I had a Burmese python about 20 years ago that got up to 16 ft, and I had to feed him rabbits. I did Brazilian jiu jitsu back in the day, so I was all for anything that could choke something with the quickness. love ya, Angus! RIP, baby!

Those pythons are gorgeous! I've always been intrigued by them too. Such cool animals!

So much upkeep though, brother. Cleaning the big tank. Helping it shed sometimes. Making sure your hand doesn't smell of any food if you're handling him lol! The big bugger got my hand twice cause of it.. my fault though lol! Back to work.. have a great rest of your day, imcq. Take it easy, brother

Crazy how fast it goes by isn't it , fellas. My daughter will be 16 this august...and it literally feels like it was 5 years ago max, that I was cranking led zeppelin on my discman, in the delivery room, watching it all go down. Here's to all of em, to grow up with good heads on their shoulders and the best health they can be in.

I feel you man my oldest is now 18 and it goes by so fast.

Got a 5-yr old and a 11.5 month old.
The 11mo just took her first unassisted steps tonight! Only 2 steps before fumbling, but they're her first!!
Have a bet going with the wife: I say daughter would be walking before she turns 1; wife doesn't think so.... 2 weeks left! Let's see how she plays (walks)!

I found this little baby bird one night while walking the dog. There was no bird's nest anywhere around though. I could tell he was dehydrated and his eyes hadn't opened up yet. So I brought him home. His name is Money and he's a House Sparrow. Raising him was 10x more work than a puppy. He thinks I'm his mommy lol.

^^^ Nicely done!:thumbsup: A couple of years ago my wife found a baby meadowlark and nursed it back to health. He stayed with us for quite a while and enjoyed it when we were working in the garden. Eventually Irving decided to be a wild bird, but we certainly enjoyed having him around for so long. Even when he was hanging around the garden looking for worms if we called him from our back deck he would fly up and land on our shoulders. He was a neat little guy!

Lol! You're betting time. Tell your daughter you'll give her half of the winnings lol

Once upon a time, my "pet" scared off the dirtbag that was breaking into my apartment through the bedroom window. A 5.5 ft rattlesnake makes a heck of a noise when his enclosure gets jostled during the night.

I kept & bred pythons for years; but it was my fondness for hots (venomous snakes) that most of my friends still bring up.
(Only a few remember the night an admirer went to leave something in my Blazer while I was working, only to be dissuaded by an annoyed alligator)

It's been maybe 5 years since I sold off my reptiles in the interest of reclaiming time and space. I've gotten used to not having them; but I feel like I could fall back into it pretty easily
