Always love your work Ken but this one is something else. Everything about that blade is perfect in my opinion, especially that swedge. And the jigging and dyeing on those scales is flawless. When I can make a slip-joint that looks like that I will consider myself a true knifemaker.

It's a beauty! - - Pardon my ignorance, but what makes the bolsters "rat tail"?

The hollow groove cut into the bolster is often done with a tapered round file- hence rattailed bolsters. on this one I actually used a chain saw file.

There is everything to love about that one Ken.
Lovely color to the bone.

That is a beautiful knife, Ken. If my CC didn't hate me so much at the moment it would be mine. :D

Man was I hoping this one stayed under the radar until Friday, but it seems it was destined for another. What a great gift for your dad woodster; it's a beauty and I'm sure he will be overwhelmed. Hope he has a great 80th, that's something to celebrate
