Rattlesnake Warning

It's been a few years since I've seen a rattler in the wild but I sure hope they don't start doing that down here. Thanks for the info.
 
If they aren't rattling, they are trying to freeze. When they do that, they are less prone to bite until you are right on top of 'em. This is just my own general observation though.
 
I stepped right on one and it started rattling after I leaped off. I knew it was either a snake or a fresh cow pie and there wasn't any cows around. The way I jumped, I could have starred in a Chinese kung fu movie.
