Thanks for the post.Looks like an interesting area.How was the food and drink?
I would imagine at this time of year you had the place to yourself

I didn't want to tote a lot of water so I used a Katadyn Hiker for the first time. It weights a bit itself but I can highly recommend it. The creek water was great after filtering. Meals were dehydrated bag food. The ones with some sort of pasta seem okay, the beef stew tasted like cat puke. I dumped enough tabasco in it to set a fire just so I could gag it down.
