Rawah Wilderness, CO: Backpacking, fishing, tons O' pics

Wow, some great pics there bro, love the little squirrel pic !
I might be a bit slow here but who makes the HI R10 knife ? Is it Himalayan Imports ?

Looks like you had a great time, who wouldn't have ?

Thanks !!!

Mtnfolk Mike. Seems you do a trade or sale with him and you get the little bamboo spork. I actually forgot my other spork and this was a stashed mini backup utensil...it worked great.

.

Hehehe, I guess so! Mine is a backup too. It rides in my pelican case psk. I also pack a titainium spork....

HI R10 is made by Himalayan Imports...Made in Nepal. They have a sub forum in the manufacturer's section. Be careful, HIKV is contagious!!!!!

That looks like a great time. Thanks for the pics.

awesome pics, thanks for sharing.

that twisted around tree from day two is really wild...i wonder what made it grow that way.

looks like a great trip despite the bogs and the bugs...those stands of birch are beautiful though. i almost wish i still lived in a bog, for the birches...oh well i guess i can put up with maple.

We were out Friday Through Sunday. Yeah Toby brought a ton of stuff, 2 fishing poles, down jacket, etc. I still thought my pack was too heavy. Mostly due to food.

Here is a video of a deer I saw. I turned off the image stabilizer so it's a little shaky. I turned it off because the previous video I was recording the song of a hermit thrush. The stabilizer adds a humming noise to the audio.

Cool video, you got pretty close ha.

Yoe weren't kidding about the mosquitos, I could hear them in the background

Dang, what a beautiful area! Looks like an awesome time, I always enjoy your pics.

That looks like an awesome trip. I'm really sick of your absurdly gorgeous locale, however, so you'll have to kick out your roommate so I can come move in.

That spork thing is awesome, so I'm gonna have to pester mike or carve my own.

Can you tell me where you got the R10? I've not seen it before.

So funny. I was in the same area and had similar experiance. A few of us went up the West Branch Trail to Twin Crater Lakes. Planned on doing the loop. Just at turn off for the lakes - the snow was deep and widespread (at about 10,200 feet). The enitire area was a bog due to melting snow.. and the mosquitos were insane. I was putting on Deet - and they were landing on it and biting me as soon as it was applied!!!!

Wow! Fantastic scenery! I especially like the water shots. Thanks for sharing.

If I were me, I would have taken a bug jacket. :(
