I just got one of Ray's EDC framelocks and it is the best folding knife I have ever laid eyes on. It wasn't cheap, but compared to other customs and high-end production folders it was competitively priced and is of better quality than any other framelock I have seen, used, or held.

Ray is one of those makers who never seems to have to work at selling his stuff. He sells his stuff as fast as he can make it and sells his stuff for whatever price he asks for. This is for a very good reason. The understated elegance of his work must be held to be believed - no pics can do them real justice. And while his stuff can take a beating you may find yourself pausing before you dish one out.

In a nutshell, Ray is a supremely talented maker and businessman. And if you want a good folder... no, I mean a GREAT folder... you'd better be ready to pull the trigger when Ray puts one up. You may have about 2 or 3 minutes to think about it, but that's pretty much it.

Thanks Ray. You're definitely operating on a different level than most.

I'm happy to hear this. I've yet to see one of Ray's folders that didn't say, "Buy Me Now". I hope to be in the right place at the right time for one of his knives. I believe that his work will become iconic in time.

+1. Ray is a great guy with a great product. It was a pleasure to meet him at the Pasadena Knife Expo a couple months back.

I believe you can email Ray and request to be put on the list for whatever he's working on (I do not believe he'd entertain special requests, but you can always ask). He brought this up in a thread a few weeks ago which is how I managed to get mine.
