• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

I have long been a fan of Ray's work, and always thought my sheaths would be a perfect match, so a few weeks ago I contacted him and suggested a collabaration of such. We decide to test the waters with one of his forged spearheads, which is something a little different for him, and here is the results.
Ray's head is forged from 1084, with no stock removal except for the final edge.
The sheath is my usual rawhide over veg-tan with deerskin fringe, glass beads, tin cones, horsehair, brass tacks, and a wrought iron concho, which is the perfect accent for the sheath of a Richard piece:D
This pairing of Ray and I will hopefully last a while, he is sending me 3 more knives next week:thumbup:.
If anyone is interested in this package it will soon be listed in the for sale by maker forum under fixed blades.

I said it elsewhere, but I must say it again- it all looks just right.

I've finally got a Poppa Ray knife on order. I'm very excited, it's going to be a special knife.

That's beautiful work! I'm anxious to see this thing shafted.

John, please post pics of the next three knives/sheaths also :)

Thanks guys. Lorien, make sure you request one of my sheaths with your order:D Eli, I have a few ideas for a shaft, but it will have to wait till I get home again in Jan. I won't have time to do it before I leave. I will post again when I get it shafted.
