Bruce, You sure I didn't tell you? I thought I had told everyone at the show. Shortly after I made a reply on this thread my wife and son through me a little birthday celebration. There was a card from my daughter saying she will be expecting a baby in December. I will finally be a real grandpaw! I hope Dalton takes care of that knife. Making that sale made me feel great!
Steelshaper, I'll be leaving for Michigan Thursday and arrive just before midnight. My old friend Gil will be picking me up from there. I can hardly wait.
Sweany, That picture reminds me to much of my shop in 05.
BTW do any of you see a difference between these two names? Raymond Richard and Ray Richards? Now there is a famous bladesmith with an "S" on the end of his name but his first name is Chuck.

Congrats on the Grandpaw gig.
Daltons grandmother is going to make a shadow box for it and the sheath and hang it on their wall for display. She did that for one of mine I made for her years ago. It gets allot more attention than in a safe.

The shadow box is a good idea. I'm thinking I made Dalton's day but that also made my day. I'm sure glad I had change......
I told my daughter I wouldn't go to Japan again but I feel myself starting to soften up. I just hope the baby looks more Japanese for its sake if they remain in Japan.

Butch, This will be the first one. I told both my kids I wanted to be a grandpa before I died. I think that was 6 or 7 years ago. I plan on being around for this one.
