Just playing with the camera and kind of liked the way this one came out. Ray Cover and a fake (resin, not ivory) Japanese netsuke of a bag of rice with rats.
Cool photo Rob. Is that Cover dressed out in ebony? It almost looks like palm wood...maybe dark porous cocobolo?? Appears to have some filework...is so?
Man I wish I had as good an eye for composition that you have! Very nice photo. I've seen those netsuke in a card and gift shop. I didn't know what they were called.
Great photo Rob, Nice knife along with the Netsuke. I'm sure the mold for the resin netsuke originated from an original Ivory carving. The detail on the Rodents is amazing, and nice piece in any material...
At first I thought the knife handles had been chewed on by Rats, took an old man like me several extra seconds to see them on the resin.
Great fun photo, knife is not bad either.
Muy Bueno, Great photo. I have never heard of Japanese netsuke so I did a little search seems like an appropriate article to have in a picture with Ray Covers knife.
